Summary
It's two o'clock in the morning, while others are sound asleep, at George and Martha's things are just getting started. George and Martha have invited guests over for a nightcap. Drinks are poured, social pleasantries are exchanged, and the two couples settle into a strained but cordial discourse. And then Martha reveals a secret that George cannot forgive. Alternately hilarious and shocking, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? shatters the illusions of marriage, love and relationships. With some of the most brilliant dialogue ever written for the stage, this modern classic made theatrical history with its debut in 1962. Winner of five Tony awards and the 1963 Pulitzer Prize.
