Media Theatre Has A 'Wonderland' Of Children's Shows

For Immediate Release: January 25, 2005
Media Contact: Roger Ricker, Media Theatre, 610.891.0100

The Media Theatre will continue to delight children of all ages with its 2005 Family Series.

In February, Quill Entertainment will bring Mr. History and his new musical Lewis and Clark: Quest for the West to the Media Theatre stage. Created by Granville Wyche Burgess and "Sesame Street" Emmy-Award winning composer Stephen Lawrence, the fun, upbeat presentation allows children to learn of the historic Lewis and Clark expedition on Saturday February 19 at 11am and Sunday, February 20 at 2pm.

George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy will appear onstage in March, when the Media Theatre presents the new Passage to the Presidents. It will all be done with the help of a singing Tour Guide who will take audiences through President's Hall. The Presidents will be at Media Theatre Tuesday through Friday (March 15-18) at 9:45am, with the final performance Saturday March 19 at 11am.

In April, a musical version of the Lewis Carroll classic Alice in Wonderland will delight ages 4 and up. This interactive show allows some of the young set to become 'actors' in the story. This comedic, improvisational style musical is written by Tim Haney and plays Saturday, April 9 at 11am and Sunday, April 10 at 2pm.

As the weather gets warmer and thoughts turn towards Camp Media Theatre 2005, Rudyard Kipling's legendary tale of Mowgli and his animal friends will come to life in The Jungle Book musical Saturday, June 4 at 11am and Sunday, June 5 at 2pm.

Tickets are available now for all shows at Media Theatre (Artistic Director Jesse Cline) by calling 610-891-0100, or by visiting www.mediatheatre.com.

Special school showings available for Alice in Wonderland and The Jungle Book.
