Media Theatre has TOMMY until April 3

For Immediate Release: March 14, 2005
Media Contact: Roger Ricker, The Media Theatre, 610.891.0100

"The Who's Tommy", a Broadway show the New York Times referred to as 'stunning' during its original run in 1993 on the Great White Way, plays at The Media Theatre through April 3.

With Dan Domenech (from the National Tour of 'Rent') in the lead role and direction by 2004 Barrymore Nominee Jesse Cline, this is two hours of pure energetic entertainment.

Written by Pete Townshend in the late '60's, "Tommy" was a critically acclaimed concept album by The Who before it became a legendary film in the mid '70's directed by Ken Russel. Following the tale of a deaf, dumb and blind boy who becomes a Pinball Wizard, the show contains the hit songs "I'm Free", "Sensation", and "See Me, Feel Me".

"The Who's Tommy" won the Tony Award in 1993 for Best Score. Theatre Alliance members may purchase tickets for $20 by calling 610-891-0100. There are two special Sunday evening performances on March 27 and April 3 at 7pm.
