ESP Presents World Premiere Of Gin Hobbs' Trojan Wars For Immediate Release: June 1, 2005 As a carefree teenager, Charlotte never thought she would be faced with an unplanned pregnancy...Thank God she has her best friend Kat, her well-meaning boyfriend Billy, and her hard-working Mom on her side...or maybe not. Teen pregnancy has never been quite so funny or touching as it is in this irreverent comedy by critically acclaimed playwright, Gin Hobbs of Hands Across Veronica and Clucks and Whirr fame. When the condom breaks, the cradle will fall. Theater Catalyst's Eternal Spiral Project is proud to present the World Premiere of Trojan Wars July 6 - July 31 at 2nd Stage @ the Adrienne. Gin Hobbs moved to Philadelphia from Oklahoma in 1999 to work in the Theater community. Her play Hands Across Veronica a comedy about self-image, love and friendship received rave reviews when it premiered in Philadelphia in 2003. She also wrote Clucks, Whirr and Other Sounds of Love, a Lesbian love story, which was produced by Theater Catalyst Inc. in 2001. Hobbs performed in Eternal Spiral Project's Summer Solo Showcase in 2002 in her one-woman show Moses Reading Lesbian Poetry. She received 2nd place in the Tampa Bay Women's Theater Festival for her play The Furies and Demise of Desdemona. Gin's first screenplay will premiere at the Philadelphia International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival in Thirsty, a feature length film that includes three stories by local writers. Trojan Wars will be directed by local actor and director Deborah Seif. Deborah last worked with ESP in June 2003, when she directed Gin Hobbs' Hands Across Veronica. Deborah has been acting and directing in the Philadelphia area for over ten years with many theaters, including Theatre Exile, Brat Productions, InterAct, The Walnut Street, The Wilma, The Arden, and Delaware Theatre Company. Her voice can be heard on television and radio commercials around the country. Trojan Wars will feature local actors Dylan Clements, Jennifer Kulick, Elyssa Phillips and Christine Mascitti. Theater Catalyst's Eternal Spiral Project was founded in 2001 by Jessica Graham and Kirsten Quinn to create opportunities for Women in Theater.
