Broadway Showstoppers II Closes BRT's Summer Season With A Bang! For Immediate Release: July 20, 2005 Broadway Showstoppers II brings BRT's Summer Season of musicales to a close on a high note. This is the sequel to last summer's blockbuster musicale of the songs that have brought audiences to their feet. From the breath-taking beginning to the heart-stopping finale, this show is sure to keep you spellbound. This blockbuster musical treat, which features show-stopping songs from Broadway past and present, will again feature a cast and band that is the best around. Keith Baker, Jen Faith Brown, Philip Chaffin, SuEllen Estey, Kristine Fraelich, Keith Spencer, and Steven Stein-Grainger are the performers for this Broadway revue. Jen Faith Brown and Kristine Fraelich are newcomers to BRT. Jen has worked at New York City Opera at Lincoln Center, Theatre Works USA, The Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center, and the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Kristine Fraelich is a two-time Barrymore Award nominee for both Baby Case at the Arden Theatre Company and Joseph .Dreamcoat at The Lenape Regional Arts Center. In addition she has been seen locally in Evita and Miss Saigon, and made her Broadway debut in Frank Wildhorn's Civil War. Returning to BRT for Broadway Showstoppers II are Philip Chaffin, SuEllen Estey, Keith Spencer, Steven Stein-Grainger, and Keith Baker. Philip is a veteran of both the BRT mainstage and Summer Musicale Series and just released his 2nd CD Warm Spring Night. SuEllen was last seen at BRT in Olympus On My Mind. Her Broadway credits include Sweeny Todd, State Fair, Barnum, 42nd Street, and Phantom of the Opera. Keith Spencer and Steven Stein-Grainger both last appeared in That's Entertainment here at BRT as well as numerous other shows over the past few seasons. Keith Spencer has appeared in shows such as Ragtime, Showboat and Carousel. Steven has appeared in Sunset Boulevard On Broadway and in the National Tour of Phantom of the Opera. And last and certainly not least is Keith Baker, the genius behind these summer musicales. Keith has also had a varied career ranging from Broadway (Fiddler on the Roof) to the concert stage (The title role in Al Carmine's The Evangelist) and most recently television (Comedy Central). The band for this blockbuster show will feature Mark Yurkanin as the Conductor/Keyboard player with Lawrence Jacobson drums, Neil Nemetz playing guitars and Bob Gargiullo on bass.
