Show off your cat for CATS in Media

For Immediate Release: August 22, 2005
Media Contact: Roger Ricker, The Media Theatre, 610.891.0100

Is your cat the most beautiful or handsome cat in the Philadelphia/ Wilmington region? Does your cat have the perfect 'meow'? Is your feline the one T.S. Eliot wrote his poems about, which come to life in Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical "Cats"?

The Media Theatre has Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical CATS onstage September 28-October 23. To celebrate during opening week, the theatre is hosting a Cat Parade on Friday, September 30.

"We hope to have at least 100 live cats on State Street in front of the theatre," said Patrick Ward, the theatre's executive director. "We are looking for all types of live cats, large or small. Of course, the pet owners should be with them."

Anyone who has a cat and wishes to be in the Cat Parade for "Cats" at Media Theatre, may call 610-891-0100 and ask for Roger Ricker, the theatre's Director of Public Relations. The Cat Parade will include plenty of photo opportunities and lots of "Memory"'s. The cat parade will take place at 7pm. If your cat is able to 'meow' to the tune of "Memory", you will receive a free ticket for the musical. No stuffed cats allowed. If you bring Garfield, be sure he eats lasagna before arriving.
