DTC Names Two New Administrative Directors For Immediate Release: September 22, 2005 A familiar face to the Wilmington theatrescene takes on a new role at Delaware Theatre Company: Patricia Dillis the theatre's new Director of Institutional Advancement. "We held a large, national search, which yielded manyimpressive candidates. In the end, Patricia's strengths andcommunity connections made her a perfect fit for the position,"said Producing Director, Anne Marie Cammarato. Ms. Dill began her career at DTC as Director ofMarketing and Communications during the 2004-2005 season. Shewas integral in developing the "new look" for DTC'smarketing materials. In addition, she adds, "I enjoyedgetting reacquainted with the media. It was a pleasure to representDTC's fine productions and wonderful programs." In her new position as Director of InstitutionalAdvancement, in addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations ofthe administrative department, she will extend her responsibilityoutside of the theatre. Ms. Cammarato explains, "Patricia'sjob will center around forwarding the institution in the community,by reaching out to both funders and audiences, and she willstrategically help each of the administrative departments to do so aswell." Ms. Dill is no stranger to the Wilmington community;prior to her tenure at DTC, Ms. Dill served the Delaware Art Museumas Director of Corporate Relations in the External AffairsDepartment. No stranger to the theatre either, previously, Ms.Dill served as General Manager of the DuPont Theatre, formerly ThePlayhouse Theatre. Starting out as an office coordinator in1982, she quickly rose through the ranks. Dill explains, "Idid whatever was needed - marketing, payroll, box office,ushering, you name it. I started off making copies in atwo-person office," she adds, "and by the end I wasoverseeing a staff of 15 and a multi-million dollar budget." "We are delighted to have Patricia Dill as our new Directorof Institutional Advancement," says Chair of DTC's Boardof Directors, Marilyn Hayward. "Coming from a commercialtheatre environment, she has a wonderful marketing focus. Patricia brings to the table an intense love of theatre andincredible business savvy, a combination that is absolutelyessential. We are fortunate to have someone with such long timeassociations with prestigious business organizations in Delaware whois so well known and highly respected." "I feel wonderful about this change," says Dill,"because I know that my skill set is a great fit for thistheatre's needs. I also feel very lucky to be here tocelebrate DTC's 20th anniversary on the WilmingtonRiverfront - it's a great time to join a risingorganization." Dill is a University of Delaware graduate. Taking her place as Director of Marketing andCommunications at DTC is Amy Watson Bish, former Director ofMarketing and Public Relations at Opera Delaware. "Ialways thought of DTC as having a great variety of interestingplays," she says, "and so the opportunity to work atDelaware Theatre Company peaked my interest." Previously,she served as Marketing Associate for Opera Delaware, DelawareSymphony, and The Grand Opera House. A student of TheatreProduction at the University of Delaware, Ms. Bish admits that,"Having been involved in theatre from a young age, it really ismy first love." She is most looking forward to working"in a theatre with a rejuvenated spirit. There is a greatstaff with fresh ideas - it's very exciting to beinvolved."
