HATG Theater Company presents Starving Artists' Monologue Slam on April 12, 2006 For Immediate Release: March 12, 2006 Starving Artists' Monologue Slam HATG Theater Company presents their new monthly event, the Starving Artists' Monologue Slam at Fergie's Pub. This event invites local actors and actresses to perform in a warm and welcoming environment and also gives them a chance to win cash. The monologues are judged by local theater professionals, allowing actors one to three minutes each to showcase their talent. Past judges include Bill Felty- casting director from the Wilma Theater, Jane Stojack- founding and managing director for the Triangle Theater, Donna Snow- acting head from Temple University's MFA program, and Aileen McCulloch-the Executive Artistic Director from Vagabond Acting Troupe. Monologue slam participant, Amy Lewis from our January slam said that she "will take with me the fond memories of the night when actors just got together to have fun! Thanks." This event is truly a jam session for local actors and actresses. There are three ways to get involved in the next slam! You can pre-register to do up to a three minute to be judged by local theater professionals at hatgtheatercompany@yahoo.com or call 215-525-1551. And win 100.00! You can show up that night and do up to a one minute monologue to be judged by the audience. (Bring a lot of friends to sway the vote in your favor) And win 25.00!
