Green Light is proud to announce our 3rd Annual New Light Series which will run June 21st-25th at The Shubin Theatre. Show times are as follows: Wednesday and Thursday at 7pm, Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2:30pm. In 2004, Green Light Productions presented the New Light Series as an experiment to offer a new venue for ten-minute performance pieces all created, performed and directed by local women theatre artists. We were so successful in our response from the women involved and our audiences that we decided to make New Light an annual event. In the past three years Green Light has worked with over fifty women theatre artists to develop the new cutting edge performance pieces.

The goal of New Light is to engage women theatre artists and to offer them a venue where they can explore their passions with out limits or regulations. Every piece in the New Light Series is under the artistic control of the artist. Green Light works with artists who are interested in creating their own work and we help to foster their development. This year's New Light Series features a wide selection of local talent with our topics ranging from one woman's encounter with The Devil and God in purgatory to another woman's passion for a magical rehearsal skirt. We're also welcoming some of the areas most talented women visual artists to display their work in the theatre. New Light has something for everybody and it's a wonderful celebration of local women theatre artists.
