Arden Theatre Company presents A Funny Thing Happened After the Forum, A Late Night Cabaret Starring Tony Braithwaite, Jeffrey Coon and Mary Martello 11 p.m. Friday, June 16 For Immediate Release: June 6, 2006 Arden Theatre Company will present the sensational Late Night Cabaret A Funny Thing Happened After the Forum, featuring celebrated Philadelphia actors Tony Braithwaite, Jeffrey Coon and Mary Martello (stars of Arden Theatre Company's smash musical comedy A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum). Don't miss this lively, intimate cabaret full of musical theatre favorites, standards, tons of laughs and surprise guests! The show is open to the public and will take place at 11 p.m. Friday, June 16 at Arden Theatre Company, located at 40 N. 2nd Street in the heart of Old City, Philadelphia, PA. What will happen when three beloved Philadelphia performers unite onstage, unscripted and uncensored, for a fabulous late night cabaret? Tony Braithwaite, recently called a "comedy superstar" by KYW News Radio, will serve as the evening's hysterical master of ceremonies. Currently starring as Pseudolus in Arden Theatre Company's A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Braithwaite began performing stand-up comedy professionally at age 13 and has since become Philadelphia's favorite funnyman. Barrymore Award-winning actors Jeffrey Coon and Mary Martello will perform a selection of uptempo and torch songs they love to sing, including musical theatre favorites and standards. Jeffrey Coon, currently starring in Forum as Miles Gloriosus, will showcase his powerful, poignant vocals on songs including "I'll Be Seeing You," "I Won't Send Roses," "Stay With Me" (from City of Angels), "What More Can I Say" (Falsettos), and "Me" (Beauty and the Beast). Mary Martello, starring in Forum as Domina, will delight audiences with renditions of "The Man I Love," "Mambo Italiano," "Adelaide's Lament" (Guys and Dolls), and "Oh, How I Miss The Kaiser" from her Barrymore-winning performance in Michael Ogborn's musical Café Puttanesca at Arden Theatre Company. Arden Theatre Company's production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Stephen Sondheim's irreverent musical comedy bursting with infectious energy and sexy fun, has been extended through June 25 due to popular demand!
