Philadelphia Theatre Company, leading producer of new American theater, today announced the promotion of Robin Barnes to the newly-created position of Director of Marketing & Communications. Now entering her fourth season with Philadelphia Theatre Company, she will have the primary responsibility of overseeing all of Philadelphia Theatre Company's marketing, advertising, telemarketing, group sales, customer service, and external communications.

"We feel very fortunate to have Robin as part of the Philadelphia Theatre Company team and we are confident she will bring her trademark energy and enthusiasm to her increased responsibilities," said Sara Garonzik, Producing Artistic Director.

Originally serving as Marketing Associate, and then Senior Marketing Manager, Robin has overseen the steady growth of the organization's subscription and single ticket base. Her imaginative marketing savvy has led to the creation of numerous successful E-marketing programs, enhanced direct mail campaigns, and company publications.

Robin is a graduate of Rutgers University's School of Business where she earned a B.S. in Marketing. Prior to joining Philadelphia Theatre Company, she worked as an Account Executive for the advertising firm The STAR Group.

In addition to her work at Philadelphia Theatre Company, Robin is a member of the American Marketing Association, an amateur photographer and potter, and captain of the Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia's volleyball team.
