Hedgerow Theatre presents Agatha Christie's Spider's Web Sept. 22-Nov. 19, continuing the historic theatre's tradition of presenting fall mysteries. This gripping tale spins its web of murder at the countryside home of Henry and Clarissa Hailsham-Brown. Clarissa, the second wife of Henry Hailsham Brown, is adept at telling tales of adventure, but even her imagination can't match the events that occur one evening in her own home! Veteran actress/director Janet Kelsey, who has brought more Agatha Christie dramas to the stage than any other director on the Philadelphia theatre scene, directs this Hedgerow premiere for mystery and theatre-loving fans!

This original mystery was written by Agatha Christie directly for the stage; it was not adapted from one of her novels. The cast includes familiar faces -- ensemble members Zoran Kovcic of Rose Valley and Newton Buchanan of Chester; returning players Spencer Gates of Paoli, Betty Lou Roselle of Wallingford and Ray Engler of Glenolden; new Hedgerow fellows Keon Mohajeri of Montreal of Canada and Giselle Chatelain of New Orleans. Making their Hedgerow debut are Melissa Kolcznski of Philadelphia, Charles McCardell of West Chester and Lou Wheeler of Aldan.

Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m. Sept. 22-Nov. 19, with special meet-the-cast post show reception Sept. 29, pre-show tea at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 24 and Halloween Party performance Oct. 28 with prizes and refreshments ($30). Tickets are $25 Friday and Saturday, $22 Thursday and Sunday, with a $3 senior citizen discount and $10 for those under age 18. Hedgerow Theatre is at 64 Rose Valley Road, Media.
