Curtain Call Creations presents... "ON THE INSIDE" an original musical written and produced by Philadelphia middle and high school students BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!

For Immediate Release: October 5, 2006
Media Contact: Maureen L. Mullin, Curtain Call Creations, 610.517.1053

"ON THE INSIDE", written by middle school students in 2004, in remembrance of the 50th anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court decision of Brown v. The Board of Education 1954, this story, loosely based on The Little Rock Nine, examines life in Arkansas during the early 1960's as schools started to desegregate. The story is told from the perspective of the National Guard assigned to walk Julius and his five friends to school everyday as they cross the racial divide for their right to a free and equal education. Though the law says they are allowed to go the school, their relationships with each other, their parents, and ultimately the white students are tested in a way they never thought possible, especially when Julius decides to trust and befriend one of his fellow white students.
