New Year's is a time when you're expected to have a good time, but often end up watching Dick Clark with your grandmother Edna. The pressure to have fun can be extreme but ComedySportz, voted best comedy club in Philadelphia by the readers of the City Paper, presents a sure-fire solution to your plight-- ComedySportz Annual New Year's Eve Show.

The improvisational comedy troupe will perform an extended show featuring hazardous games such as "Spit-take"�- where players perform a scene while having to spit out water before each sentence and "Oxygen Deprivation"- where players perform a scene while one player's face must be submerged in a bowl of water at all times. At both 9:00 PM (midnight in Brazil!) and midnight, the traditional New Year's Rubber Chicken will be lowered as players lead the fanz in a gibberish version of Auld Lang Syne accompanied by a sparkling cider toast and pizza (included in ticket price).

For families or those who can't last until midnight, ComedySportz offers a memorable and family-friendly alternative. And since ComedySportz is a BYOB theater fanz are invited to bring their toasting beverages of choice. Hats and noisemakers will be provided.
