On Monday, January 22nd, Simpatico Theatre Project will be holding their annual Trivia Challenge! The fundraiser will be held from 7:30 to 10pm at Vesuvio Restaurant and Bar located on the corner of 8th St and Fitzwater St. Game entry will be $10 per player. Teams compete for prizes by answering questions in a number of categories that range from "Infamous" to "Indigo", including special audio and picture rounds.
Members of Simpatico Theatre Project will be once again joined by guest hosts from the Philadelphia area theatre community. Previous guest hosts have included Quinn Bauriedel of Pig Iron Theatre Company, Aileen McCulloch of The Vagabond Acting Troupe, and Joe Canuso of Theatre Exile. Prizes will be awarded to the three highest scoring teams. Previous prizes have ranged from free tickets to BCKSEET Productions, a voodoo doll from University of Cards, and gift certificates from businesses as varied as All Occasions Flowers and Mad River Bar & Grille.
Proceeds will support Simpatico Theatre Project, a young theatre company who believes theatre to be a force for positive social change. Simpatico Theatre Project concludes their second season with Angels Fall by Lanford Wilson, directed by Carol Laratonda, at Second Stage at the Adrienne on 2030 Sansom Street, a deeply affecting play about a group of travelers who take refuge in a New Mexico mission in the wake of a possible nuclear accident. Angels Fall performs Friday, March 2nd - Sunday, March 25th. For tickets or more information go to www.simpaticotheatre.org or call 215-423-0254.
