The Ritz Theatre Company presents William Shakespeare's brilliant comedy "Much Ado About Nothing" March 15 - April 15, 2007 at the historic Ritz Theatre, 915 White Horse Pike, Arts District, Haddon Township, NJ.

"Much Ado About Nothing" is a classic comedy set in the romantic era of Elizabethan Europe. Enjoy the witty insults of Benedick and Beatrice, the carefree lovers. It's Shakespeare at his best and funniest!

The main plot of "Much Ado About Nothing" revolves around obstacles of the union of two young lovers, Claudio and Hero, with the sub-plot, the "merry war" of the sexes between Beatrice and Benedick. The play is set near the house of Leonato, governor of Messina, Sicily. Prince Don Pedro of Aragon, Claudio, Benedick and Don John come to Leonato's home. Claudio instantly falls in love with Hero. While they prepare for their wedding day, they amuse themselves by gulling Benedick and Beatrice (Leonato's niece), verbal adversaries who share a contempt for conventional love. Will Beatrice and Benedick ever stop bickering long enough to realize they've fallen in love?

Kumar Dari of Maple Shade plays the clever and handsome bachelor Benedick. Kimberly Valde-Curless of Haddon Heights is the lively and taunting maiden Beatrice. Nicholas Muni of Collingswood plays the passionate but gullible Claudio. Casey Williams-Ficarra of Collingswood takes on the role of Hero, an innocent and compassionate maiden.

Producing Artistic Director, Bruce A. Curless of Haddon Heights. Director, Denise George of Runnemede. Dramaturge, Marie Cornelia of Philadelphia. Sets by Bart Healy of Collingswood. Costumes by Peggy Walsh of Philadelphia. Lighting by Al Conforti of Glassboro.
