Media Contact: Melissa Joy Hart, New Candelight Theatre, 302.475.2313

Chicago, winner of 6 Tony and Academy Awards®, is one of Broadway's most popular and thrilling smash hit musicals. With memorable tunes such as "All that Jazz," "Razzle Dazzle" and "Cellophane," Chicago features some of the best performances of the 2007 season. The New Candlelight Theatre brings Kander and Ebb's breathtaking score and Fosse-inspired choreography to Ardentown May 4th through July 15th in this electrifying tale of jazz, murder and liquor.

Bob Miller and Jody Anderson Miller first produced Chicago in 2001 for Candlelight Music Dinner Theatre under the theater's previous management. After obtaining ownership in 2002, Bob and Jody set forth on carving a niche in the fledgling professional theater community of Delaware and creating a model for dinner theaters across the country. Embarking on one of their most successful seasons to date, the Millers draw to a close their first year as the nation's only Equity dinner theater and newest member of the Philadelphia Theater Alliance.

Chicago pairs the original production team of director Bob Kelly and Fosse- trained choreographer Jody Anderson Miller, with seasoned music director Steve Weatherman, in his first performance with The New Candlelight Theatre. Lighting designer Chris Alberts and set designer Brian Wild round out the stellar production team.

Making her Candlelight debut, Kelley Faulkner stars as Roxie Hart, the star- struck, jazz-loving murderess of murderer's row. The Teaneck, NJ native has performed extensively throughout the Delaware Valley, most recently at the Walnut Street Theatre in 42nd Street and Windy City. Reprising her 2001 role, Nora Fitzgerald plays the vaudeville vixen Velma Kelly, a character made famous by Chita Rivera, Bebe Neuwirth and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Also reprising his role, Robert Miller plays the smooth-talking lawyer Billy Flynn.

Returning to the Candlelight stage are Melissa Joy Hart as Matron Mama Morton, Patrick O'Hara as Amos Hart, and Tim Moudy as Fred Casely. Hart was recently seen as Rizzo in Grease and The Wardrobe in Beauty and the Beast, O'Hara as Vince Fontaine in Grease, and Moudy as Billy Lawlor in 42nd Street. The talented ensemble includes Candlelight favorites: Kristin Romero, Anthony Tumolo, Jeff Kobasa, Angela Bates Majewski, Erin-Michelle Waldie, Gina Cipolloni, Nick Armstrong, Christopher Perez, Clayton Stacey, Timothy Lammot Cannon, Angela Pomo and newcomers: Alfie Parker, Amanda McCrossin, Andre Myers, Calley Steel and B. Sheehan.

The New Candlelight Theatre is located in historic Ardentown, DE-five minutes from downtown Wilmington and 30 minutes from Center City, Philadelphia. Chicago will open on May 4th and run through July 15th. To purchase tickets please call the New Candlelight Theatre box office at: 302-475-2313.
