Rounding Third a Homerun as Audience Members Score Phillies Prizes

For Immediate Release: July 31, 2007
Media Contact: Hope deFrenes, Montgomery Theater, 610.405.9973

Montgomery Theater recently closed a wildly successful run of the baseball comedy Rounding Third and audiences were the big winners. Outstanding performances from stars Tony Braithwaite and Kristopher Yoder resulted in audiences doubled over with laughter, many sold out shows and standing ovations. But Montgomery Theater didn't just leave it at that, giving away two free tickets to the Reading Phillies at each performance. On closing night four free tickets to the Philadelphia Phillies were also given away. Then, for the Grand Slam, a raffle was conducted for a coveted, authentic autographed baseball signed by Phillies pitcher, and Souderton native, Jamie Moyer. On hand to draw the winning ticket were Jamie's parents, Jim and Joan Moyer. The lucky winner was Christine Bonfiglio of Royersford who said, "My 8 year old son is so thrilled and he is smiling ear to ear". The winner of the 4 Phillies tickets was Debbie McElwee of Souderton and the winners of 2 Reading Phillies tickets each were Alexandra Barnett, Charles Bernd, Marge Cronan, Ginny Day, Miriam Hernandez, Kathleen James, Ken & Kathy McDowell, Frank & Margie McPherson, Ann Mendrzycki, Yale Schwartz, Susan Shiber, Linda Singer, Mary & Peter Spizzirri, Marci Thear, Vicki Whitehead and Ray Cartee (winner on closing night).

Artistic Director Tom Quinn said, "This play was an enormous success and we are so grateful to our community and audience members that came to see this fantastic show. The ticket giveaways were our way of showing our gratitude and thanking our patrons for their support".

Next up at the theater will be the musical, "The Full Monty", running from September 12 to October 6. Make your reservations now as this one is sure to be a hot ticket!
