Theater of the Seventh Sister presents Tamer of Horses For Immediate Release: December 21, 2007
Theater of the Seventh Sister, as part of their African Grove Project, will present "Tamer of Horses" by William Mastrosimone January 24 - 27, 2008 at the Stahr Armory at 438 North Queen St. When Ty, a former schoolteacher, finds a street-tough runaway living in his horse barn, an unexpected relationship develops. As Ty tries to educate the illiterate - but perceptive - teen, he and his wife discover that the road to trust and change is difficult. Can people really change? Is there an agenda to kindness? Directed by Alana Campbell, "Tamer of Horses" is an engaging play that seeks the truth and reminds us that words and ideas have the power to lift the mind and heal the heart. Cast includes James Christopher Colbert as Ty, Kimberly Fairbanks as Georgiane and Brandon Young as Hector. The show runs January 24 - 27 with performances Thursday at 7:30, Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m., at the Stahr Performing Arts Center at 438 N. Queen St., Lancaster, PA. General admission is $20, with discounts available. Reserve tickets by calling the box office at (717) 396-7764 or e-mailing theseventhsister@mac.com.
