Bristol Riverside Theatre Takes Audiences Back to the 30s and 40s Musicale Celebrates the Music of Harold Arlen and Other Legendary Composers For Immediate Release: June 26, 2008
Bristol Riverside Theatre continues its 12th summer of "the Music of Broadway and Beyond" with its second Musicale of the season. Come Rain or Come Shine opens July 10 and runs through July 20. Bristol Riverside Theatre is located at 120 Radcliffe Street. Individual tickets are available by calling the BRT Box Office at (215) 785-0100 or online at www.BRTstage.org. Individual tickets for all Musicales are $29 for adults, $25 for BRT members, and $10 for students. Come Rain or Come Shine brings the 1930s and 40s alive with a beautiful, melodic, and nostalgic evening of classic songs. The cast, including BRT favorites Demetria Joyce Bailey, Keith Spencer (recently seen in BRT's first Musicale of the summer, This is the Moment), Philip Chaffin, and Erin Mosher, is set to perform music from the legendary Harold Arlen and some of his friends: Gershwin, Porter, and Berlin, to name a few. Featured songs include "Come Rain or Shine", "I've Got the World on a String," "Ac-cent-tchu-ate the Positive," "It's Only a Paper Moon," "The Man That Got Away," "That Old Black Magic," "Let's Fall in Love," "Hooray for Love," "You Go To My Head," "Happiness is Just a Thing Called Joe." The Summer Musicales series will conclude with a tribute to the leading ladies of Broadway in Broadway Baby from August 7 through 17.
