Media Contact: Kristy Chen, The Players Club of Swarthmore, 610.328.4271

The Players Club of Swarthmore Theater is planning a wild ride for its 2008-2009 audiences. Join the theater for its 98th season, as they explore "Oh, the Places We'll Go..."

The first stop is the tiniest place, protected by the biggest heart. It's Seussical: The Musical - from Tony winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime). Horton, his Whos and many more classic Dr. Seuss characters get a new twist and prove they're as timeless as they are lovable in this lively musical: September 11-27.

Next, The Players Club of Swarthmore travels to the crucible of a military court, in A Few Good Men. It's West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin's provocative drama about the trial of two Guantanamo Bay Marines, and the lawyers who defend them. It dares to ask: "When should a soldier NOT follow orders?" October 16-November 1.

Then, head to a sweet little planet with a big problem, with The Little Prince. Audiences are invited to join the Prince on his interplanetary quest in this stage adaptation of the beloved Saint-Exupéry story. You'll be spellbound by the personalities encountered along the way: November 28-December 14.

In January, go back in time to Vienna in the 1800s and the Hamptons in the 1980s, for a little Romance Romance - a pair of love stories a different as their settings. Can the thrill of new romance survive discovery of deceit? Can years of marriage survive when flirtation threatens to become something more? Two mini-musicals come together to provide the answers, along with plenty of laughs: January 8-17.

After that, follow the theater to the back rooms and bedrooms of 1905 New York, and Intimate Apparel. A prize-winning historical drama, by an exciting new playwright - Lynn Nottage. It's a heartwarming tale of courage and artistry. An African-American seamstress strives for a life as an independent woman in a hard new century: February 5-21.

March takes us to a long night in a simpler time. Outside - a howling snowstorm. Inside - The bus driver is real good friends with the waitress, the cowboy fancies the small-town chanteuse, the professor gone to seed has his eye on the sweet young thing and the sheriff just stepped out, Bus Stop: March 12-28.

The journey ends in the Hollywood of the Keystone Kops, in Mack & Mabel. It's about the bittersweet romance between movie mogul Mack Sennet and the girl he made a star. Mack wants Mabel, Mabel wants fame. The score by Jerry Herman (Hello, Dolly!) brims over with hummable tunes. April 23 - May 9.

The Club is working hard to make live theater accessible to everyone. The theater's facilities include an ADA-compliant bathroom, wheelchair-accessible seating and assisted-hearing devices. Plus, PCS has formed a new relationship with Art-Reach: a Delaware Valley nonprofit cultural service organization that helps underserved audiences to experience arts and cultural programming. The Club is very excited about the new partnership and the opportunity to make live theater available to groups that wouldn't otherwise experience it.

The Players Club of Swarthmore is located at 614 Fairview Avenue in Swarthmore. Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances are at 8pm, Sunday matinées are at 2pm.
