The Players Club of Swarthmore Theater is continuing its Second Stage season with the classic Greek tragedy, The Trojan Women. Written in 415 B.C., The Trojan Women, focuses on the plight of the women held captive after the fall of Troy. This work by Euripides has survived for 2,400 years because it continues to be relevant. Southard (Glen Mills), the play features Players Club favorite, Kathie Coll Senkow (Clifton Heights), in the challenging role of Hecuba. Other actors in featured roles include Jim Fryer (Lansdowne) as Poseidon, Gene D'Alessandro (Philadelphia) as Talthybius, Jillian Haas (Ridley Park) as Casandra, Anjoli Santiago (Sharon Hill) as Andromanche, John Foelster (Media) as Menelaus and Jacqueline Holloway (Wilmington, DE) as Helen of Troy. The Trojan Women will be on The Players Club of Swarthmore's Raymond W. Smith stage on the second floor at 8pm on January 23, 24, 30 and 31 at 8:00 p.m. Admission is $10.
