SHORT PLAYS ABOUT SERIAL KILLERS? For Immediate Release: March 17, 2009
Yes, it's true. B. Someday Productions will produce a 10-minute play about what happens when the daughter of an infamous serial killer meets with the son of one of his victims. Chilling. This and seven other short plays during FRESH FISH 2.0 at the Walking Fish Theatre. Eight different plays with eight different directors and loads of different actors, all in one night! April 1-19, Wednesday-Saturday @ 8:00pm, Sunday @ 2:00pm. Tickets are $16/$12 for students/seniors. Buy tickets at the door or online: www.walkingfishtheatre.com Ticket free parking! Beverages available! Mark Borkowski, award-winning playwright and actor, originally from Fishtown, now living in New York, wrote the shocking THE KIDS ARE AWAKE on the set of THE PERFECT WITNESS, starring Wes Bentley, Kenny Johnson, Beth Grant and himself. Shot entirely in Philly (Fishtown and Kensington). It's available on DVD, SHOWTIME and The Movie Channel. This neighborhood "was a very different place growing up" shares Mark Borkowski, "I escaped in the 1980's and moved to NY. I have been visiting every month since. I went to St. Anne's School on Lehigh & Tucker and continued the torture by going to North Catholic. It has always been one of my dreams to see a theatre in Kensington. Amazing!" The plays for FRESH FISH 2.0 were selected from almost 400 submissions from all over the world. As part of B. Someday's mission, FRESH FISH performances will be a pay-what-you-can admission on all Wednesday shows. There will also be two Talk-Back evenings on Thursdays April 9 and 16.
