IF YOU'RE CAPTURED THEY CUT YOUR HEAD OFF

For Immediate Release: March 19, 2009
Media Contact: Michelle Pauls, B. Someday Productions, 215.427.WALK

B. Someday Productions brings Estep Nagy's well-regarded Afghan war play A TASTE OF HEAVEN to the stage at Walking Fish Theatre. This one man tour-de-force examines how our foreign policies affect us at home. This and seven other short plays during FRESH FISH 2.0 at the Walking Fish Theatre. Eight different plays with eight different directors and loads of different actors, all in one night! April 1-19, Wednesday-Saturday @ 8:00pm, Sunday @ 2:00pm. Tickets are $16/$12 for students/seniors. Buy tickets at the door or online: www.walkingfishtheatre.org. Ticket free parking! Beverages available!

The Washington Post writes: "Give Estep Nagy 10 minutes and he'll give you a world. Or an interesting slice of one, anyway. In A TASTE OF HEAVEN, the playwright introduces us to a young veteran of Afghanistan and Iraq who rapidly recounts a weird, wild day in a forbidding landscape half a world away. At first, you suspect the 10-minute piece is going to be one of those post-traumatic-stress accounts of a terrible combat experience. But the dramatist has something less predictable in mind and that something emerges as a supple take on what war can do to, and for, a soldier."

The plays for FRESH FISH 2.0 were selected from almost 400 submissions from all over the world. As part of B. Someday's mission, FRESH FISH performances will be a pay-what-you-can admission on all Wednesday shows. There will also be two Talk-Back evenings on Thursdays April 9 and 16.

Members of the Press are invited for Opening Night, Friday, April 3 @ 8:00pm.
