Pneuma Productions presents Flatterers of Dionysis For Immediate Release: March 23, 2009
Scene: Rittenhouse Square: Ben, once an esteemed scholar, now lives homeless, following a crisis of conscience. Hearing his
conversations with friends, old and new, you will witness his journey from a dark abyss to enlightenment. And along the way the audience is served some morsels of nefarious agendas to chew on .... think about. Press Release: Pneuma Productions is a small group once located in NY city founded by writer and director, Jack Daniels. The group is devoted to new work and Daniels has written a number of plays and screen plays. He was involved in experimental theater during the 1980's in both NY and Philadelphia where he now lives. The group is interested in plays that rekindle the fires of critical thinking. Entertainment is only part of the mission, the goal being to allow audiences to consider social and political agendas not ordinarily published in standard media. These themes will appeal to people who are interested in alternative interpretations of what happens in the world. Daniels' new play, "Flatterers of Dionysis" is a fictional version of a man named Benjamin Freedman whom Daniels admired for his courage to spill the beans on political agendas many years ago. Daniels has combined this story with more recent concerns such as chemtrails and the dumbing down of society. Pneuma Productions receives no grants nor sponshorships and keeps its stage productions simple and in small, intimate theater spaces.
