Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door.

The evening of fun and merriment is entitled “Storybook Forever: Comedy Tonight” will feature six of the best comics in the Philadelphia region.

The performers include; Chris Schlotterer who regularly appears at comedy clubs and other venues up and down the east coast. Chris will also act as the host for the evening.

Joining Chris on stage will be Bill Chiang who has appeared as a regular in many East Coast comedy clubs. His source of comedy comes from the absurdity of everyday life.

Also on the bill is Roger Weaver of Medford, N.J. He is a comedy writer and performer and is the past winner of the Funniest Teacher Award at the Stand-up in New York City, and was a two time finalist in “Philly Phunniest” contest at the Helium Club in Center City.

Steve Gerben, joins the others by using storytelling and observational humor to bring audiences on a roller coaster ride into his neurotic, nervous world.

David James, a Washington, D.C. native, now a Philadelphia resident, is quickly becoming recognized as one of the truly creative minds in the Philadelphia comedy scene. David is the winner of the Helium Club 2006 Philadelphia’s Phunniest Stand-up Comedy Contest.

Rounding out the bill will be another Philadelphia based-comedian, Mike Clements. His act is based on his life, including 20 years of marriage and his day-life as a bus driver. Mike was a finalist in the Las Vegas Comedy Competition and performs regularly at clubs and colleges on the East Coast.

Musical interludes will be performed by Chris Ertelt, a pianist, musical director and vocal coach, who has many credits in the Philadelphia region including musical direction at the Arden Theater, Walnut St. Theater, Wilma Theater, Prince Music Theater and is presently the musical director for “Thoroughly Modern Millie” at the Media Theater, where he had been associated for the last four seasons.

Wine, hot and cold hor d’oeuvres, desserts and beverages are included. There will also be raffles offered on some exceptional items including special theme baskets and gift certificates from local merchants and restaurants, the Phillies and Eagles.

The event is being sponsored by Daniel P. Foley of the Delaware Valley Financial Group.

All proceeds benefit Storybook Musical Theatre, which is dedicated to introducing children to musical theater through the original adaptation of fairy tales, folklore and children’s literature. It is the only theater company providing theater for young audiences in Montgomery County affiliated with Actors’ Equity Association, the union for professional actors and stage managers in the United States.
