This hysterically funny play follows a day in the life of Sam, an out-of-work actor who mans the red hot reservation line at Manhattan’s number one restaurant. Coercion, threats, bribes, histrionics – a cast of desperate callers will stop at nothing in their zeal to land a prime reservation. Amid the barrage, Sam’s got his own needs to contend with – his recently widowed dad wants him home for Christmas and he’s up for a choice part at Lincoln Center! While juggling scheming socialites, name-dropping wannabes, fickle celebrities and egomaniacal bosses, can he manage to look out for himself? “Fully Committed” has a cast of 40 wildly different characters, all played by power-comic Tony Braithwaite. Tony Braithwaite returns for his third stint with Montgomery Theater. Tony has worked in many theatres in and around Philly since 1996. Recent roles include Billy in “Iron Kisses” at Act 2 Playhouse and Felix in “The Odd Couple” at The Kimmel Center. Currently performing in 1812’s “Let’s Pretend We’re Married,” written and starring with Jennifer Childs. In the fall Tony will play Robert in “Boeing-Boeing” at Act 2, and then he'll return as the News Anchor in 1812's latest installment of “This is The Week That Is” in December. Tony is a 3-time Barrymore Awards' nominee, a 4-time Host, and a 1-time winner (for “The Big Bang” at Act 2). For 15 years, Tony has run the Theatre Department at his beloved alma mater, St. Joe's Prep, where he will direct “Sweeney Todd” this fall. www.tonybraithwaite.com Our 2009 season is sponsored by Univest Corporation and Harleysville National Bank.
