To provide Philadelphians with a place to see, learn and perform improvisational theater in a wide variety of styles by sharing the talents of locally and nationally recognized improvisers.

Description
The Philly Improv Theater (PHIT) is the only longform improvisation theater in metropolitan Philadelphia. PHIT currently produces shows throughout the area that bring together improvisational troupes with varying styles and national profiles. In addition, PHIT has a comprehensive educational program that provides instruction in improvisation through our core curriculum (consisting of four 8-week classes), 4-week elective classes, and daylong improv workshops. The instructors at PHIT represent not only the best talent in Philadelphia, but also nationally and internationally recognized instructors in improvisation. PHIT is currently hard at work raising funds (and pursuing a location) for a permanent building and performance space in the city.
